Constance Rock, LM, CPM, is a midwife, former birth center owner, consultant, author and mother of four.

As founder, owner and clinical director of The Hollywood Birth Center, The Sanctuary Birth & Family Wellness Center in Los Angeles, California from 2000 through 2009 and The Thrive Birth & Family Wellness Center in Santa Rosa CA 2014, Constance brings her rich experience in every aspect of birth center development from visioning to the everyday operations of a thriving birth center practice.

In addition, Constance has 14 years training in personal and family development, public speaking, leadership and mediation.  As a passionate entrepreneur and visionary she’s inspired international audiences with her global vision for gentle birth.

With a background including 20 years of midwifery in both home and birth center practice, Constance brings expertise in business plan formulation, marketing, center design, operations, practice guidelines, as well as staff & medical back-up development.

After semi-retiring from active practice in 2009 in order to balance her interests in writing, consulting, and mothering her two younger children, Constance became passionate about forwarding her vision for gentle birth through empowering other midwives to grow and expand their practices.

She is excited to bring her years of experience to partner with both developing and existing practices in the creation of their unique vision.

Constance is currently writing a memoir and living in the rural town of Ukiah, California with her partner Jon.   top

Suzanne Rock-Stierle is an entrepreneur, design specialist, consultant and proud mama of 3 home birth babies.

For the past 18 years Suzanne has focused her passion on both the personal and professional development of girls and women. In 1998 she founded Young Women Encircle, a nonprofit organization offering empowerment programs for young women ages 9-22. In this area she has developed keynotes, trainings, retreats and festivals. To date, she has organized, produced, and facilitated over 30 events.

Committed to balancing motherhood with career, Suzanne started a home-based website development and image consulting company in 2006 after the water birth of her 3rd child. In 4 short years RockS Design has grown into a thriving enterprise specializing in web design, corporate identity and branding, team and project management, art direction, publication design, writing, editing and search engine optimization.

With her professional background and connection to natural childbirth, Suzanne is excited to partner with birth center owners in the redesign of their company’s image, online presence, marking materials, and business documents. Deb Puterbaugh is an interior designer, retired midwife, social activist, mother and grandmother who brings years of experience in both birth and design to your project.

With her dedication to human evolution, women's empowerment, and cultural change, Deb practiced midwifery from 1977 to 1995 in both Alaska and Santa Cruz, California. After retirement in 1995 she earned a degree in interior design and for the last 15 years her company, B. Design Inc., has created nurturing environments for both commercial and residential clients.

Because Deb understands both midwifery and interior design, she knows what makes a birth environment work. As a founding member of the Associations of Prenatal and Perinatal Psychology and Health (APPPAH), Deb also understands the psychological needs of mothers and babies.

Currently working towards a Masters Program in Psychology at Sonoma State University, Deb’s passion is the psychology of space. In her soul, Deb knows that, “Where we birth, effects how we birth!”

She is a member of the American Association of Birth Centers as well as belonging to the founding council, of the Northern California Institute of Feminine Arts; an institute helping to educate the midwives of the future.

Deb believes that collaboration and team building is critical to the long term survival of any venture and knows that “our team” will bring a synergy to your birth center, making your vision a success.   top
